A Different Kind of HOA
❋
No high HOA fees. No hassle. Just simple living.
The McCorkle Street community isn’t designed to have your typical HOA experience. No third-party management company, no unnecessary rules, and no excessive monthly fees. Instead, the HOA will be owned and operated collectively by the homeowners themselves, giving the residents the freedom to make decisions based on what’s best for their own little community.
We are currently in the final stages of establishing the HOA and its annual budget. Fees are expected to be very minimal and primarily used to cover the required annual inspection and maintenance oversight of the community’s sewer system.
What’s the deal with the grinder pumps?
McCorkle Street homes are connected to public sewer — not septic. Due to the layout and elevation of the community, the city required a Low Pressure Sewer (LPS) system, which means each home has its own individual grinder pump to move wastewater into the public sewer system.
While that may sound complicated, it really isn’t! Grinder pumps are designed to be low-maintenance, and from a homeowner’s day-to-day perspective, using the home should feel no different than any other home connected to public sewer. Each homeowner will be responsible for their individual grinder pump, while the HOA will coordinate the required annual system inspections.
Simple Restrictions. One Purpose: Protecting Your Investment.
There will also be a straightforward set of covenants and restrictions — not to micromanage how you use your property, but to help protect the appearance of the community and everyone’s property values.
Think less “HOA telling you what flowers you can plant” and more “your neighbor can’t put an above-ground swimming pool in the front yard.” Put it around back and enjoy!
Our goal is simple: give homeowners as much freedom as possible while maintaining a community everyone can be proud to call home.
The final HOA documents, covenants and budget are currently being completed. As soon as they’re finalized, we’ll upload them right here for you to review.
